Barcelona will reportedly look to bring in Manchester City star Bernardo Silva should Ousmane Dembele depart as expected.
The midfielder’s future has been up in the air for a while amid links with the Camp Nou. The player spoke with the Spanish champions last summer before both parties decided to mutually walk away without a formal bid tabled.
However, Barcelona president Joan Laporte wishes to make a second approach for Silva, who has two years left on his contract. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo says the La Liga giants will target the 28-year-old once Dembele exits, who has been strongly linked to Paris Saint-Germain.
The report says Silva only has eyes for Barcelona despite interest from the Saudi Pro League and PSG. It adds the player is waiting on Barcelona to make a move in order to show their intentions to City before the end of the window.

Meanwhile, The Athletic reports that City have tabled a second contract offer for Kyle Walker. The right-back is being closely linked with a move to Bayern Munich having rejected an initial renewal in June. It’s thought City’s wage proposals are higher than City’s.
Bayern officials have spoken with Walker after meeting during the club's pre-season tour of Asia in Japan, but no resolutions were reached. There are fears from the Germans that a deal may not get over the line, the report adds.
Walker has one year left on his contract but the 33-year-old is said to be assessing all options after being dissatisfied with the amount of minutes he received last season, in which he started the Champions League final from the bench.
