Amanda Abbington 'fuming' after being 'snubbed' by Strictly bosses for live show amid Giovanni Pernice row

Amanda Abbington was left "fuming" after being snubbed by Strictly bosses for the show's live tour, despite making it clear she was 'desperate' for a slot.
The Sherlock actress quit the BBC series in October but sources say she made it clear she was keen to join the cast on tour.
And after missing out on the chance to dance alongside Corrie’s Ellie Leach and West End star Layton Williams, she was left fuming, the Mirror reports.
A source said: “Amanda made it clear she was desperate to have a slot. It was a real blow for her and she was fuming. She felt snubbed.”
In last year's rehearsals Amanda, 51, allegedly clashed with her pro partner Giovanni Pernice and although she dismissed the claims they had fought as “b*******” at the time, she later quit.
Amanda said she was leaving the popular dancing contest for "medical reasons" and did not reunite with the rest of the cast for the series finale, where the performed a last routine.

Earlier this month, it emerged she had sought legal advice and had requested footage of her rehearsals with Giovanni, 33. A source close to the actress claimed she had suffered post-traumatic stress disorder after Strictly.
Sources also claim Amanda gave a different reason for leaving the show and bosses have backed dance pro Giovanni in the row.
"The feeling is he is a tough taskmaster, but hasn't bullied or abused anyone. The BBC see him as a key face of Strictly and will do all they can to support him," a source told the Mirror earlier this week.
Giovanni addressed the scandal for the first time online on Wednesday night, as he launched a new business venture and thanked fans for their
