A young mum described as a "ray of light" tragically died of cancer just days before Christmas. Kaleigh Bold had previously fought off one bout of aggressive breast cancer and underwent intense chemotherapy and a double mastectomy a few years ago.
She finished treatment for this in 2020 but it came back with a vengeance. A week before the 35-year-old's hen-do in August 2023, she asked her breast cancer team what was going on and was told she needed a multi-disciplinary team meeting.
The mum, from Liverpool, said that, at that point, she "knew there was something wrong", reports The Manchester Evening News.
The mum still went on her special weekend away with pals but struggled with sickness and didn't feel well. The day after she returned from her trip doctors confirmed the cancer had returned and spread across her bones, lungs, liver and brain.
Kaleigh then went through cycles of chemotherapy and radiotherapy but heartbreakingly, she lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 20.
She leaves her husband, Ant, son, Harry, mum, Lindsey, brother, Adam, and sisters, Siobhan, Samera and Nadine. Her family described Kaleigh as someone who cared deeply for her family, friends and others.
Paying tribute to Kaleigh, Samera and Siobhan said, on behalf of the family: "Kaleigh was the most positive, inspirational, upbeat, happy, caring, kind person you could meet. Anyone who met her would leave in a better mood, she was a joy to be around and loved by everyone.
"She lit up every room she walked in. She is the most amazing wife and mum. Her little boy Harry is so lucky to have had the best mum on the planet, who adored and worshipped him.
"Nothing was too much for her when it came to her family. Kaleigh adored her husband, Anthony,
