A mum who was inspired to lose weight for a holiday to Tenerife has revealed how she’s now managed to shed an incredible six and a half stone.
Vanessa Gregory had always been self-conscious about her weight but just didn’t have the motivation to slim down.
The mum-of-two says she had been on the “bigger side” since she was a young girl and had never dieted in her life.

But after booking a trip to Tenerife earlier this year, the 28-year-old finally had a reason to shift the extra weight for good.
Vanessa, from Crewe, signed up to Greater Manchester and Cheshire slimming group Beeweighed back in February and expected to lose a stone at most.
But incredibly, the mum went on to shed an eye-watering six-and-a-half stone – going from a dress size 20 to a 10.
[I feel] absolutely amazing,” she told the Manchester Evening News. “I have so much more confidence; I enjoy clothes shopping now. I don’t dislike what I see in the mirror the transformation has totally changed my life.”
Vanessa weighed around 18st 2lbs when she first started her weight loss journey, but following her transformation, she now weighs in at 11st 11lbs.
Before her incredible lifestyle change, the mum would “religiously” gorge on takeaways every week and could eat up to three chocolate bars a day.
She believes the main reason her weight ballooned to 18 stone was because she would eat the leftovers from her kids’ dinners every night as well as her own.
But combined with attending spin classes three times a week and calorie counting, she now feels better than she ever has before.
