A man and woman in their seventies have died after their car plunged more than 30ft off a bridge in Skipton, North Yorkshire.

A woman has sadly died after taking unwell at a swimming pool in Perth this morning. Emergency services were called to Perth Leisure Pool on Glasgow Road shortly before 11am on Friday morning to reports of a 71-year-old woman taking unwell.
Crews rushed to the facility but sadly the woman could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are currently treating her death as unexplained but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Live Active Leisure, which runs the Glasgow Road facility, sent their condolences to the family and confirmed the pool would be closed for the rest of the day as a mark of respect.

In a social media post, they wrote: "It is with great sadness that we can confirm that a customer has died after taking unwell at Perth Leisure Pool today, our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the family and friends at this difficult time.
"As a mark of respect Perth Leisure Pool will remain closed today. We will reopen tomorrow, Saturday 7th October at 10am. The gym will be open from 8am."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.55am on Friday, 6 October, 2023, we were made aware of a person having taken unwell at a premises on Glasgow Road, Perth.
“Emergency services attended and a 71-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
