As has become customary in the Premier League in recent years, Manchester United and Man City will both receive a winter break in January.
While clubs across European football break off for the Christmas period, it is traditional in the UK for matches to continue. The Boxing Day fixtures were spread over a few days and the holidays are a profitable time for clubs across the pyramid as gates get a healthy boost.
However, with the schedules for top-flight clubs becoming increasingly stacked and managers calling for fewer fixtures, the Premier League has taken steps to reduce the workload for their clubs. MEN Sport has taken a look at everything you need to know below.

Premier League clubs' schedules are becoming more congested with each year that passes and with European football expanding, the top flight decided to split Gameweek 21 over two successive weekends in a bid to give players a rest.
This means five matches will be played on the weekend of January 13, 14 and 15 while the other five matches will be staged on January 20, 21 and 22.
United's match will take place on Sunday, January 14 when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, City's fixture will take place a day before on Saturday, January 13 when they travel to Newcastle United.
With both Manchester clubs getting their games out of the way in the first half of Gameweek 21, the two clubs will be back in action two weeks later in the FA Cup Fourth Round if United and City can get past Wigan Athletic and Huddersfield Town, respectively.
