It proved to be a huge hit and applications for the second series are already open! The boys involved in the show had to make some very tough choices, and plenty of hearts were broken along the way, but viewers are hopeful that at least some of the lads ended up finding lasting love on the show.The final episode saw the last remaining couples have a final “kiss off” in a bid to decide whether they should call it quits now or give it a go in the real world.

Rob Savage isn’t a household name in horror, yet, but if you look at his most recent work, this is a guy who seems like he is destined for great things in genre filmmaking. And in this episode of The Playlist Podcast, I got the chance to talk to Savage and discuss his newest film, “The Boogeyman,” which is based on a short story by Stephen King.

Savage’s follow-up, 2021’s “Dashcam,” was largely filmed on the titular device and follows a COVID-skeptic, MAGA-loving YouTuber who drives around London trying to escape from evil. Although still microbudget fare, it got the attention of Blumhouse’s Jason Blum, was a producer on the project.

When Disney acquired the company in 2019, development was canceled, only to be revived in late 2021.
