Stephen King's 'If It Bleeds' to get Netflix treatment

A Hollywood bidding frenzy for the screen rights to Stephen King’s latest four-story novella, If It Bleeds, has ended with the horror author signing multiple options.

As a result, four separate companies will carve up the book with Ryan Murphy and Jason Blum picking up the first story, Mr. Harrigan’s Phone – about a ghostly device that works from beyond the grave – for Netflix.

The American Horror Story creator and Blumhouse leader will produce with John Lee Hancock attached to direct.
