This Morning viewers were left scratching their heads after popular presenting pair Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were notably absent from the ITV show. On Tuesday 1 February, Phillip, 59, and Holly, 40, were temporarily replaced by co-hosts Rochelle Humes and Alison Hammond.
Announcing the big change, Lorraine Kelly cut over to Rochelle and Alison, introducing them as the new ‘girl power’ team who would be at the helm for the episode.The trio then explained that Phil is having to miss the show after he revealed he had tested positive for Covid-19. As Rochelle described Alison’s appearance as a nice surprise, Alison replied: “I didn’t expect this. Poor Phil has obviously tested positive for Covid so he can’t be in the studio today.” The female co-hosts then spoke to Phillip from the home he’s isolating at, as he updated viewers on his health.
