It seems many of you can't quite let go of the nights you spent clubbing in what was once a mecca of Greater Manchester's nightlife.
Recently, the Manchester Evening News published a story on the lost nightclubs and bars in Stalybridge in the 1990s. The Tameside town earned the nickname 'Staly Vegas' after a slew of nightclubs and bars opened up around 20-years ago.

We listed some of the most popular nightspots during that era, including Rififi, Pavilion, Harpers and H2o Bar. But after the story was published, many took to the comments on Facebook to remind us of some other classic venues we missed out, like Pad, Ruby Rooms, Riverace and Bar Max.
Many readers also shared their fuzzy memories of big nights out in 'Staly Vegas'.
Bradley Wilson commented with his particularly well thought out bar-crawl back in the day. "Start in Spoons and make your way down, Sinclair's, Judge's, Blanca, Viva, H2O, Lions, Szoda, Ruby Rooms, Pavilion, Rififi then Pad," adding: "And if you were old enough/lucky enough, The bridge inn."
Others shared their tactics for getting their most out of their night out in Stalybridge. Whether that was ensuring they were allowed into their favourite clubs despite being underage, or prolonging their night after consuming one to many.
