In the case of Prime Video’s “Carnival Row,” starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, it essentially means announcing your show is over just as your new season two trailer is premiering. It’s perhaps a little odd, announcing the end just as you’re promoting the overdue return of a series.

Before its release, “Eternals” was poised to be a massive hit. You could argue that no new Marvel franchise has a better cast.
