Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be fuming with his current role at Manchester United.
Ronaldo informed United just before the start of pre-season that he wished to leave Old Trafford should a 'reasonable offer' come in for his services. He would go on to miss the club's tour of Australia and Thailand due to 'family reasons'.
However, he has since returned to United but has only started one game, the 4-0 hammering at Brentford. Ronaldo has made cameo appearances in the matches against Brighton and Hove Albion and Liverpool.

The 37-year-old finds himself starting on the bench again on Saturday at Southampton and his former teammate Ferdinand believes he will be angry at his current involvement. He told BT Sport: "He’ll be fuming, 100 per cent, we all worked with superstars.
"We’ve seen players being dropped before and they don’t understand it because they have total belief in who they are, what they are and what they bring to the table. He won’t be looking at the negatives that people are bringing out, he’ll be thinking: ‘I bring goals to the table, I bring winning mentality, why aren’t I playing?’
"Some people will say you’re only thinking about yourself and that’s selfish but that’s what gets these players to the top." When asked if his future would remain in Manchester, Ferdinand added: "It depends on whether he’s happy to be in this position and play second fiddle or does he see himself [as someone] that comes in and takes that shirt again?
"Only he can answer that question, we have to play the waiting game now." The transfer window slams shut on Thursday, September 1.
