If you’re part of the 'dark circles' club, you’re probably one of the 15.8M people who watched Dr. Neera’s (@dermatologysurgeon) viral TikTok video.
The clip spiked users' interest by sharing the theory that there are different types of dark circles and we should choose our under-eye beauty products accordingly.
This very short seven-second video went viral quickly, and if you swooshed away from your chair faster than the wind to pinch your skin in the bathroom mirror to determine what kind of dark circles you have, welcome to the club – we all did it! According to Dr. Neera, you can determine the type of dark circles you have by gently pinching the under-eye skin to see what happens: If the discolouration moves with the skin, it is probably caused by hyperpigmentation and the best way to go about is to use vitamin C, niacinamide, or resorcinol.
If the discolouration goes away, then it may be from blood vessels or shadowing and your best friends will be caffeine and/or retinol. As much as it should be pretty obvious that we can't, and should not, use TikTok as a method of diagnosis, more and more skin professionals, including surgeons, are finding the app a useful tool to spread their knowledge and reach a much wider audience than normal.
The hashtag #darkcircles is proven to be extremely popular on all social media with more than 1.8B views on TikTok alone with plenty of dermatologists actually confirming what Dr.Neera said about the existence of several types of dark circles and how beneficial a tailored skincare regime would be to tackle them.

Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer — in his 2022 memoir, and how director Jimmy Burrows encouraged them to bond in Monica Geller’s apartment on set.“Immediately, there was electricity in the air,” Perry wrote in “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” one year before his tragic death. “We talked and joked, about romance, our careers, our loves, our losses. And the bond that Jimmy knew would be critical had begun,” he continued.

Dennis Harvey Film Critic The struggle to keep movie theaters alive gets very personal in “Showdown at the Grand,” an enjoyable tribute to retro exploitation pictures with Terrance Howard as a movie palace proprietor besieged by diminishing receipts and violent goons. Dolph Lundgren plays the former action star who shows up for a personal appearance, then stays to help save the joint from those agents of unscrupulous developers.
Naman Ramachandran Universal’s “Trolls Band Together” has reclaimed the top spot at the U.K. and Ireland box office from stablemate “Five Nights At Freddy’s.” In its third weekend, “Trolls Band Together” collected £1.8 million ($2.2 million) for a total of £12.7 million ($15.7 million). Ellise Shafer SPOILER ALERT: This story contains spoilers for “Priscilla,” in theaters now. As the opening sequence of Sofia Coppola‘s biographical drama “Priscilla” unfolds, viewers meet a 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu (Cailee Spaeny) in 1959 West Germany to the tune of the Ramones’ 1980 hit “Baby, I Love You.” This time-bending choice may seem unexpected, but to those familiar with the work of Coppola — who famously soundtracked her 2006 historical film “Marie Antoinette” with the Strokes, Aphex Twin and the Cure — it won’t come as a surprise. After all, though the song is a subversion, it’s a cover of the Ronettes’ 1964 classic and carries much of the musical stylings of the period, courtesy of Phil Spector, who produced both versions.

On the heels of the wonderful 2019 The Two Popes, in which Anthony Hopkins starred as Pope Benedict XVI in an imagined conversation with Jonathan Pryce’s future Pope Francis, Hopkins is once again involved in the same kind of cinematic historical fictional meeting as founder of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud, who is engaged in a private debate with The Chronicles of Narnia author and theologian C.S. Lewis (played by Matthew Goode) on the existence of God. As with The Two Popes, there is no proof whatsoever that any meeting ever took place, but it clearly provides lots of material to wrap your head around. That is exactly what Mark St. Germain did in creating his 2009 play Freud’s Last Session, which was built on the 1967 Harvard lectures of Dr. Armond M. Nicholi Jr in his presentation “The Question of God: C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud Debate God, Love, Sex, and the Meaning of Life.”
Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic Devo was, and is, the ultimate future-proof band. When they first entered the public consciousness in the late ‘70s, Mark Mothersbaugh, Gerald Casale and company seemed impossibly ahead of their time — in a primitive-futurist kind of way — and they still do. There’s very little that you could consider dated about the 50 cuts on their new career retrospective, “50 Years of De-Evolution 1973-2023,” since their worldview always kind of seemed to be trained on offering up dystopianism with a smile and a jacked-up synth-rock beat.
