England’s most popular National Parks attraction on TikTok has been revealed in new research - and it’s only a 90 minute drive from Greater Manchester. Chatsworth House in the Peak District has bagged the number one spot in a list of the top attractions, beating the likes of Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland and Ullswater in the Lake District.
The study looked at the number of TikTok views for 134 national park tourist attractions for the ten national parks in England. Chatsworth House amassed an impressive 22 million views on TikTok, beating Gaping Gill in the Yorkshire Dales, which had 17.8million views.
Chatsworth House, a Grade I-listed property on the eastern edge of the Peak District, features breathtaking interiors and a stunning 105-acre garden, making it a hit with social media users. The house even featured in the 2005 film of Pride Prejudice, serving as the house of Mr Darcy, which has helped to boost its popularity.

The authors of the study, conducted by holiday cottages company Wheelwrights, said: “Taking the top spot for the most popular national park attraction in England is Chatsworth house in the Peak District, raking in a whopping 22 million views for videos with the hashtag #chatworthhouse.
“Videos of the Grade I listed property and it’s 105-acre garden on TikTok show its grand beauty steeped with a long and royal history, including Mary Queen of Scots being held captive in the house.”
