Manchester United fans are questioning whether letting Eric Bailly go would be a wise decision.
Marseille are in talks to bring in the Ivorian on an initial loan with an option to buy. The defender is fifth-choice centre-back at United behind Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof and is at risk of playing little game time.
The 28-year-old is yet to play a competitive game for United in 2022 after being shunned by Ralf Rangnick upon returning from the Africa Cup of Nations with a foot injury in January. Bailly, who was linked with a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Roma, had a decent pre-season while on tour with the Reds.

But it seems as though the Dutchman does not favour Bailly and is due to offload him this summer. A number of United fans on Twitter are not fully convinced that his departure would be the best course of action, especially given the club’s poor start to the season.
