Manchester United players were confident Antony would have an impact on his debut against Arsenal due to his training performances.
The 22-year-old started on the right-hand side and curled in United's opening goal in their 3-1 win to end Arsenal's winning start in the Premier League.
Antony completed his £85.51million transfer to United on deadline day, having arrived in Manchester at the start of last week. He trained individually on Thursday and then completed two sessions with his new teammates.

Diogo Dalot played behind Antony on Sunday and believes the Brazil international is at an advantage as he played under manager Erik ten Hag for two years at Ajax.
"I mean, very good," Dalot said of Antony's performance. "He showed that in just two or three days (of training) that he could come on and make the difference he made today with a beautiful goal, a beautiful team goal. And I think he is one more player to help. We want to build a very good squad this season and with him we are going have more quality.
"He has the advantage of knowing, of course, the way that the manager thinks. He's already adapted to his football side and now he's adapted to his new teammates and I think you could see in the minutes that he played that he showed some character, he showed some desire, which I think - and I'm sure - every fan will love that.
"And obviously, the quality that he has, the mentality that he has, I think he will improve us."
