Two men were taken to hospital after a crash on a busy road in Oldham last night.
The smash happened on Ripponden Road in the Moorside area at around 11pm on Monday evening (June 10). Police officers, paramedics and firefighters raced to the scene two-car crash.
One man had to be rescued from one of the wrecked cars by firefighters, the fire service confirmed. Paramedics then cared for him on the scene, before he and another man were rushed to hospital, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service added.

Pictures showed a stretch of Ripponden Road cordoned off last night as emergency crews responded. It was taped off into the early hours.
Images also showed two cars left badly damaged within the cordon. One car was left leaning against a brick wall while another was seen with a badly-smashed front.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed two fire engines were called to the scene. They said they worked to 'make the scene safe'.
The spokesperson said: "At just after 11pm on Monday (June 10) two fire engines from Oldham and Hollins fire stations plus the technical response unit from Ashton fire station were called to a crash involving two cars on Rippoden Road, Oldham.
"A male was rescued from one of the cars before being handed to the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service. Crews made the scene safe and were in attendance for around one hour and 15 minutes."
No further details were provided by Greater Manchester Police.
