Man left with serious injuries after suspected stabbing outside apartment block

A 20-year-old man has been left with 'serious injuries' after a suspected stabbing in Salford. Three men have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder after police were called to reports of men fighting in Adelphi Street on Saturday afternoon (June 8).
The men, aged 18, 19 and 20, remain in custody for questioning. A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries which were consistent with the use of a knife, according to Greater Manchester Police.
It comes after the car park of a block of flats in Salford was cordoned off by police amid reports of the serious incident. There was a large police presence, including crime scene investigators, at Adelphi Wharf on Adelphi Street throughout the afternoon.

Police say they were called to reports of a disturbance on Adelphi Street at around 12.15pm. A resident of flats overlooking the scene said they saw 'blood splattered on the floor' with around 15 response vehicles attending the incident and a helicopter circling above.
A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 12:15pm yesterday (8 June 2024), police were called to reports of a disturbance on Adelphi Street in Salford. A group of men were reported to have been fighting in the street.
"Police attended and three men, aged 18,19 and 20, were arrested. They remain in custody at this time for questioning. One man age 20 was taken to hospital with serious injuries, although thankfully these are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
