TUI has issued a statement on the ongoing situation in Rhodes as thousands desperately flee for their lives due to wildfires on the Greek island.
The airline has now cancelled all outbound flights until Tuesday (July 25) and said it has 'over 300' reps, drivers and service colleagues helping out, as holidaymakers were evacuated from their hotels as the huge flames crawled closer.
The six-day blaze continued to rage on Sunday (July 23) after the fire service warned more fires could break out with temperatures set to reach 45C. Greek authorities said 19,000 people have been evacuated so far, with the Ministry of Climate Change and Civil Protection adding it was “the largest evacuation from a wildfire in the country”.

TUI has now said its staff on the fire-ravaged island are doing 'everything they can to provide assistance to guests' and said it will work with authorities to help bring customers home safely. Passengers who had booked to travel to Rhodes with TUI before Tuesday will receive full refunds.
A spokesperson for the airline told the Manchester Evening News: "The wildfires in the south-eastern parts of Rhodes have led to the evacuation of masses of holidaymakers in the past 24 hours, and our teams on the island are doing everything they can to provide assistance to TUI guests.
"Over 300 reps, drivers and service colleagues and doing their utmost to help where they can, working alongside the amazing local community and emergency services.
"We appreciate how distressing and difficult this situation is for customers who have been evacuated and ask that they follow the advice of the local authorities who are managing
