Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has admitted that he is unsure where his future lies amid Manchester United's interest in his services.
United, who are on the brink of wrapping up the signing of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, are open to the prospect of signing Amrabat ahead of the transfer window closing next month. The Moroccan is out-of-contract in Florence in just under a year's time, meaning he could be sold for a cut-price fee this summer.
The Reds, who face RC Lens at Old Trafford in their penultimate pre-season friendly on Saturday, could move for Amrabat if they sell Scott McTominay. There is a general feeling that United would benefit from sourcing specialist cover for Casemiro in the defensive-midfield berth.
Amrabat, who previously worked with United manager Erik ten Hag at Utrecht, specialises in being a midfield anchor, capable of putting a tackle in and winning back possession for his team. He also has the ability to dictate play from deep.
The transfer window is in full swing and United have already got their hands on two players, with Mason Mount and Andre Onana through the door at Old Trafford and Rasmus Hojlund set to follow.
