A Hotel and Spa in Cheshire has been awarded the AA Best UK Spa Award.

Tributes have poured in for a 'kind-hearted' man well-known in the Gorton and Denton community after he passed away last month.
Michael Evans, 71, who was a retired carpenter, passed away in early October after a three-year battle with cancer.
Michael was well-loved by many people in Gorton and Denton with notable community work such as neighbourhood watching and bi-weekly litter picks - earning him an individual award.

Angie Evans, Michael’s wife, described him as a ‘kind-hearted’ and ‘refreshing soul’. She spoke to the MEN about the toll his diagnosis took on them.
“He’s at peace now. He had lung cancer and battled with it for such a long time. The chemotherapy was terrible for him, it gave us longer with him but he was so tired.
“I wish he saw the people who came to pay their respects, it wasn’t even about the numbers but more who came. One of his friends he met from his travels in New Zealand.
“They hadn’t seen each other in 15 years I think, could have been more but he came. He came all the way from New Zealand and he regretted he didn’t see him earlier but the fact that he came made me break down even more."
Michael planned to help his two sons set up their own carpentry business after they followed in the 71-year-old’s footsteps, however, after becoming diagnosed with cancer, Michael found it harder and harder to do everyday things.
Colin Evans, Michael’s youngest son said: “I still have days when I just cry to myself but it’s healthy, I usually feel more at peace afterward.
