Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has urged his team to dominate possession this evening when they host Chelsea in the Premier League.

Speaking to MUTV ahead of tonight's clash with Mauricio Pochettino's men, Ten Hag is adamant his team must learn to keep the ball to stand a chance of gaining a positive result. When asked about the Blues, he explained: "You can see it’s (Chelsea) a very good team.
"In possession, they’re very comfortable, so that means you have to defend very good against those sides. You have to play to your best, in the levels of defending, but also we want to make it our game by dominating [with] our possession and make it difficult.
"But we know, as I said in this answer, we have to play our best. I always say it, when I get this question, it’s not about them, it’s about us and how we play against them."
Last season, the Reds triumphed against Chelsea 4-1 at Old Trafford but Ten Hag is not holding out hope previous results will impact the outcome this evening. "Yeah but it’s history," he concluded.
