A concert featuring a huge line-up of artists will be held in Manchester next year to raise money to fight food poverty - and it’s going to be hosted by football royalty.
Organised by James’ guitarist Saul Davies and his partner Vanda Guerreiro, MUSIC FEEDS LIVE will take place at the O2 Apollo Manchester in February 2024 in a quest to raise £150,000 for foodbank charity The Trussell Trust.
The event will feature chart-topping musicians and performers like The Farm, Chicane, Slow Readers Club, James’ singer Tim Booth, and British Poet Laureate Simon Armitage with his band LYR.

As well as being hosted by Radio 6 Music presenter Chris Hawkins, the concert will also be presented by former Manchester United player Gary Neville and former Liverpool FC player Jamie Carragher. Tickets for the February 27, 2024 gig will go on sale this Friday (December 15) via Ticketmaster.
“Music Feeds Live is about positivity and solidarity,” James’ Saul said of the event. “We are giving artists an opportunity to use their voice to generate much needed funds and show support to people living with disadvantage.
“Our aim is to raise £150k for foodbanks across the North West and with the help of the public we can do that. We have a brilliant line-up already, but we also have more names to add to that with some very special guests to be announced soon.”
Saul is also set to perform at the event, which will also feature James' bassist Jim Glennie, Lanterns on the Lake, First Breath After Coma and the Joe Duddell Orchestra.
