Travellers could be fined or jailed for vaping in certain popular holiday destinations

Anyone going on holiday this summer has been warned that vaping in certain destinations could land you with a hefty fine or even a jail sentence.
Experts at Vape Club are urging holidaymakers to check the individual vaping laws or restrictions for wherever they're jetting off to in order to avoid being punished.
Some of the toughest laws are in countries such as Thailand, where vaping has been banned since 2014 and tourists may be fined up to 30,000 baht (around £700) or imprisoned for up to 10 years if they're caught.
The restrictions in Australia are even heavier, as anyone who brings nicotine e-liquid into the country could face a huge fine of up to A$222,000 (over £125,000).
Some states even impose a two-year jail sentence on tourists importing the liquid, Wales Online reports.
In the classic holiday destination of Turkey, vaping isn't illegal, but buying e-cigarettes is - so it's worth remembering to take your products with you in your hand luggage.
And Spain's laws on smoking are becoming stricter, as tourist favourites such as Benidorm have banned smoking on terraces as well as on over one hundred beaches across the country and its islands.
Some countries take a much more no-nonsense approach, with destinations such as Argentina, Brazil, North Korea and Nepal inflicting total vaping bans.
And in Qatar, anyone who is caught vaping could be fined up to 10,000 Riyals (about £2,200) or face a jail sentence of up to three months.
