This Morning's Phillip Schofield was forced to apologise on Tuesday's show when guest Colin Craig-Brown accidentally slipped a swear word into his interview. The New Zealander was talking to presenters Phillip and Josie Gibson about his Guinness World Record loss after realising his potato vegetable had actually turned out to be a gourd. The hopeful had been excited to get his name in the famous record bookas the 7.9kg vegetable was on track to be named the world's largest potato.
When a sample was sent to the UK for DNA testing however, Colin had his hopes dashed and quickly learned "Doug" wasn't going to win him any awards. Phillip, 59, immediately realised the mishap and apologised to viewers at home, but Josie struggled to maintain her composure. Giggling away, the 37 year old presenter, who is filling in for Holly Willoughby, eventually managed to say sorry to the audience too. "It was a bit of a deflation, you know, to find out he wasn't a potato," Colin began, sat with his gourd wearing sunglasses on the sofa next to him.
"But hey, as you walk along through life you get these sh***y sandwiches, someone packs them in your lunchbox." "Oh!" Phil laughed nervously, saying "sorry, sorry, sorry," as he tried to move on. "Sorry about that!" Josie then added. Viewers flocked to Twitter to comment on the hilarious mishap as one person joked: "Sh***y sandwiches! I LOVE HIM." Become an OK!
