This Morning announce presenters for Monday after Phillip Schofield's exit

Following the departure of Phillip Schofield, ITV have confirmed that Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary will be presenting the show on Monday morning. Phillip announced he will be stepping down from the show, immediately, following weeks of rumours of a falling out between himself and co-presenter Holly Willoughby. Holly will be taking a break from the show next week for half term, with Friday's presenters Dermot and Alison stepping in for the week.
Alison and Dermot have become fan favourites among viewers after joining the show in 2021, following the departure of Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford. Yesterday (May 20) Phil announced his decision to step down from This Morning, after presenting the show for 21 years, first alongside Fern Britton and most recently with Holly. In his statement, Phil shared that was stepping down to "protect" the show that he loves." He wrote: "I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning.
But recently, This Morning itself has become the story. "Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind. I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
“So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.” In light of the news, co-host Holly Willoughby also released a statement as she explained the "sofa won't feel the same" without him.
