Holly Willoughby has been flooded with compliments from fans after continuing with her This Morning tradition after Phillip Schofield's exit. The presenter, 42, has been at the centre of drama in recent weeks after her co-hosts dramatic departure from ITV.
Phil, 61, resigned from the broadcaster after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger ITV colleague and Holly made her return to the morning TV show on Monday (June 5) where she opened with a live statement addressing the scandal.
Looking directly at the cameras, Holly told viewers: "Firstly, are you ok? I hope so. It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil. I imagine you might have been feeling a lot like I have, shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what's been going on, and full of questions."

She continued: "You, me, and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way who themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career they loved. That is a lot to process and it's equally hard to see the toll that it has taken on their own mental health."
Prior to her return to the programme, Holly hadn't been seen on screen or on her Instagram account for a fortnight, after extending her pre-planned half-term break following Phil's announcement.
After returning to the show again on Tuesday alongside Josie Gibson, the presenter brought back a tradition which she had done throughout her time on This Morning with Phil.
