A third person has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 22-year-old man in Motherwell.
Emergency services were called to the scene in the Alexander Path area of the town in the early hours of Sunday, August 20.
A young man, who has not yet been publicly identified, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene - sparking an unexplained death probe by police.
Two men, aged 26 and 57, were charged yesterday. Police Scotland have now confirmed that a third suspect has also been apprehended.
The 40-year-old man is set to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday alongside his two co-accused.

A statement from the force said: “A third man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man in Motherwell.
“A 22-year-old man was found dead in the Alexander Path area of Motherwell on Sunday, 20 August, 2023.
“The 40-year-old man will appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 20 November, 2023.
“Two other men, aged 26 and 57, have also been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
“They are due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 20 November, 2023.”
