Passengers flying from Manchester Airport may all know about The Lion and Antelope pub, but there’s also another bar that has less queues and a runway view that people often miss.
Situated in Terminal 3, there’s a reason why the Lion and Antelope is so popular: It’s open until 3am (or whenever the last departure is) and it serves classic dishes alongside a wide array of drinks. But that also means it comes at the cost of long queues and lengthy waits for a table.
But one frequent traveller, who visits the Airport a number of times a year, has shared their top drinking spot in the terminal that they say is little-known and often has no queues.

Not far away from the Lion and Antelope lies the Nook, which Lancs Live’s Federica Bedendo has revealed to be her new favourite place to visit whilst waiting to catch a flight.
Federica says she often flies from Terminal 3 to travel to her hometown of Venica via Ryanair so has become well trodden with the terminal over the years. She writes: “This means I often find myself at Terminal 3, where I'd like to enjoy a pint alone and in peace.
“Now, that can sometimes feel like a mission. The Lion and Antelope is the biggest bar in the terminal once you pass security and naively, for a long time I thought it was the only bar where you could get a draught beer - WRONG.
“I've often found myself queuing for ages for a pint, only to then have to sit next to a tipsy couple who want to talk about their upcoming Canaries trip, with a stag do loudly enjoying their pre-flight drinks behind me.
