The Wanted's Max George became emotional during an episode of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, dedicating his win to his late friend and bandmate Tom Parker. The episode saw Max face off against Loose Women panellist Linda Robson and Labour MP Jess Phillips in the hopes of winning the £20,000 jackpot for their chosen charities. After successfully gaining £6,900, Max opted to keep that money, rather than risk it all in a chance to win big. He told the show's host Ben Shephard: "I am happy with that. That was the right decision." Ben then asked: "It’s going to a really special charity.
Can you share who it is going to?" To which Max emotionally replied: "It is going to the Brain Tumour Charity. My very, very close friend, Tom, passed away recently from a brain tumour, and they’re at the forefront of brain tumour research." He continued: "And also, Ben, I want to say thank you to you because I asked you a while ago if we could get Tom on the show, and that’s why I’m here today. So thanks to you.
I'm really, really happy with that." Ben replied: "I’m really thrilled that you got to come and play in his memory. I remember what a great guy he was, and he loved the show, so I am chuffed to bits you could be here for him. "And £6,900 will make a big difference to the charity." It comes after Max opened up about a potential The Wanted reunion, during an interview with Christine Lampard on Lorraine. The Wanted last went on tour in 2022, and it was just days after playing their final show in Liverpool that Tom tragically passed away.

Based on the 1968 photo and interview book by Danny Lyon, “The Bikeriders” tells a fictional story inspired by a Midwestern motorcycle club, seen through its members’ lives over a decade.
