The Traitors executive producer hints at UK celebrity version of hit BBC show and gives tip to future contestants

There are just a few hours to go until the all-important final of The Traitors after an entertaining second series. Tonight (January 26) viewers will find out if the remaining Traitors, Harry and Andrew, will be victorious and steal the money, or if the final Faithfuls, Evie, Jaz and Mollie, will suss them out in time to win the prize pot.
Although this series is coming to an end, there is some exciting news for The Traitors fans as a potential UK celebrity version of the hit BBC show is on the cards. Ahead of the finale, The Traitors' executive producer, Stephen Lambert, has hinted at the possibility of famous faces taking part in the show.
Speaking to host Lewis Goodall on The News Agents podcast, Stephen also praised the success of The Traitors and said it is a ‘huge triumph for linear TV', whilst also revealing how they cast contestants for the show.

Speaking about the success of the show, Stephen said: "I think the fact that it's stripped over three nights on BBC One, it means that you've got four days in which to catch up. So that's I think, one of the reasons why we're able to grow the audience because normally with the show, if you missed the beginning, you think, I don't know what's going on, I'm not going to watch.
"In this case people have got time to catch up and that's why they're then joining and then they're maybe wanting to watch the actual live transmission of the show. I certainly think that today there will be a lot of live viewers for the final.’"
