Like many of us, Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones was obsessed with Disney as a child. It was his dream to work for them - a wish that got lost along the way, but would eventually be realised.
Wish-making is also the theme of Disney's upcoming film, which marks the company's milestone 100th anniversary. Wish follows 17 year old Asha who lives in the kingdom of Rosas, off the Iberian Peninsula. She makes a wish so powerful it's granted by a cosmic force called Star.
Together, Asha - who is voiced by Ariana DeBose - and Star must confront a formidable foe - the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico, voiced by Chris Pine - in order save her community. They prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.

Juan Pablo is one of Wish's producers, having joined the media company in 2018. After giving an inspiring talk to Manchester Animation Festival attendees on Wednesday, November 15, Juan Pablo sat down with the Manchester Evening News to discuss how his very own wishes came true by working for Disney.
He admits his younger self could have imagined working for the huge film producers - but it's his 'middle self' who wouldn't have. He said: "I think that’s what happens to all of us - when you’re a little kid you’re like: ‘Yay, anything is possible!’ But then as life gets in the way, you don’t think anything is possible.
"That’s one of my favourite things about the film, it talks about wishing but it talks about wishing at any age and how you forget your wish and how you have to reclaim it and work

Valerie Wu Intern Reality dance competition series “So You Think You Can Dance” has been renewed for Season 18 at Fox. The show will return on March 4, 2024 with an all-new documentary style format along with new judges Alison Holker and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
