This is the hunting knife bought on a family holiday which was used to murder Brianna Ghey during a frenzied attack. Brianna, 16, a transgender girl, died after being stabbed 28 times in a park near Warrington earlier this year, a trial at Manchester Crown Court heard.
She was found by dog walkers in Linear Park in Culcheth at around 3pm on Saturday, February 11. Her bloodied body was found face down in mud, having been stabbed to the head, neck, back and chest.
Two teenagers, Girl X, from Culcheth, and Boy Y, from Leigh, both aged 16, were both found guilty of murder in the fourth week of a trial. In court, both tried to blame the other.

Boy Y told the murder trial that he bought the knife in January from a 'souvenir shop' during a family holiday abroad. He claimed that he just wanted to 'look at it' and 'admire the craftmanship'.
But the day after Brianna's murder, the knife was discovered in a cupboard in his bedroom. The blade contained Brianna's blood and his DNA on the handle.
Police also recovered items of his clothing including his jacket and his shoes covered in her blood. Despite this evidence, Boy Y denied murdering Brianna and claimed that his co-accused Girl X had.
She in turn blamed Boy Y. But jurors rejected their claims and found them both guilty of murder.
Prosecutors said that they did not have to prove which of the two actually stabbed Brianna. In her closing speech, prosecutor Deanna Heer KC told jurors: "Provided you are sure that they intentionally participated in the murder in some way, that they played a part in bringing
