There is often debate about what constitutes a 'perfect' hat-trick. For a Manchester United fan, it just can't get any better than that.

Yet when you think back to Berbatov that season, he will always be remembered most for the day he netted three goals against Liverpool.

"That was one of my best seasons in football," he recalled of the day. "I kept scoring hat tricks. I have those balls at my home, all signed by the United players. I treasure them."
Berbatov even plays down his own ability by insisting 'football players score hat tricks all the time'. There are few who can claim to have scored one against Liverpool, though.
They were hardly the force they are today when those two sides met on September 19, 2010, but no matter how things are going at Anfield, they will always be the biggest rival.
