Sussana Reid has shared a health update with fans after not being seen on Good Morning Britain for nearly a week. The presenter was replaced at the eleventh hour last week. Despite heading into work at the London-based studio the morning after the National Television Awards, Susanna was nowhere to be seen.
Charlotte Hawkins was instead drafted in to partner Ed Balls at the helm of the mid-week edition of the show with Charlotte explaining the change at the top of the latest programme. "Good morning to you, this is a bit of an unscheduled appearance for me this morning!" she said.
Ed replied: "I was about to say, you know, I came into the studio as usual about 4:30am. Walked past Susanna Reid's dressing room. There was Susanna, as always, in her white dressing gown, getting ready for the show to come. This feels like a bit of a change!"

Charlotte then explained: "The reason is because you saw Susanna there but we couldn't hear her because she has unfortunately lost her voice! She is here in the building with us. Here she is, Susanna, how are you?" A hoarse Susanna replied: "I'm fine, I just can't speak!"
Late on Sunday evening (September 10), Susanna confirmed that her planned return to the helm of GMB on Monday (September 11) wasn't possible as she was still having to rest her vocal cords and it was Ranvir Singh who stepped in to replace her.
Sharing a picture of herself during a previous appearance hosting the show, Susanna said on Twitter and Instagram: "Sorry not to be back @gmb with you all in the morning. Vocal cords still affected. Recovering with specialist treatment and brilliant tips from viewers. See you very soon!"
