It's been reported Strictly Come Dancing's Nadiya Bychkova called BBC bosses into a meeting to demand answers after she was snubbed for a celebrity partner.
The professional dancer, 34, is missing out on the chance to take home the Glitterball Trophy for the first time since joining the show in 2017. Nadiya, who is dating fellow pro Kai Waddrington, was stunned after being told that she had failed to secure a celebrity dance partner ahead of the 2023 series, and will only perform as part of the larger dance troupe.
Nadiya demanded answers from bosses, according to reports, but sources claim there just wasn't any chemistry between the professional dancer and celebrities at the training sessions. An insider added: "Nadiya was very surprised when she learned she would merely be part of he wider dance troupe."
"She felt like she had done well since she joined the show so it was a shock," they told Mail Online. "She wanted answers so she held several meetings with the bosses so she could get some answers. She is accepting it now."
Insiders at the BBC insisted that there are 'various factors' which determine who gets a partner, they include height and how many years they have been working on Strictly. It was also reported that BBC bosses are unhappy former Strictly contestant Dan Walker waded into the row to throw his support behind Nadiya.
The former BBC presenter, who was paired with the Ukrainian professional dancer in 2021, wrote on Instagram: "Strictly is such an amazing show and it’s almost time for the new series… what a great line-up this year. All the pros are great but gutted to hear that @nadiyabychkova hasn’t got a partner.
"I’m sure she’s still looking forward to being part of the biggest show on TV but it feels a bit
