Giovanni Pernice, star of Strictly Come Dancing has been facing some tough accusations recently. A trio of Strictly partners from the past series', including Amanda Abbington are reportedly lawyering up for legal action against him. Actress Amanda, Giovanni's partner in the previous Strictly series, withdrew after just five weeks citing "personal reasons".
She later maintained that her experience on the show triggered PTSD and accused Giovanni of bullying during his strict training sessions. Following these allegations, the BBC began an inner inquiry. Earlier this week, the line-up of 2024 for Strictly was released, confirming that Giovanni will no longer feature in the series.
Following the news that Giovanni is leaving the hit BBC show, PR guru Jake Holyoak spoke to Express.co.uk about possible next moves for the professional dancer. Though Giovanni co-hosts a popular travel show with his co-star Anton Du Beke, experts are curious to see whether he will branch out and present a show alone. Jake, a digital PR manager at Bonus Finder, said: "Sure, I'm a Celebrity could be on the cards, but let's not forget the power of redemption arcs.
. "Imagine Giovanni waltzing his way into a travel show, exploring exotic locales and charming audiences with his Italian flair. We've seen Gino D'Campo do this type of thing and it's gone down well!" He added: "In my opinion, I think we may see a shift away from the conventional route of shows like I'm A Celebrity.
