Another Strictly Come Dancing star has shared their support for Giovanni Pernice after it was revealed he won't be appearing in this year's series.
The professional dancer has been at the centre of controversy over recent months following allegations about his behaviour on the show. Giovanni, 33, has denied the allegations. It has been confirmed that the BBC has launched an internal investigation.
Many of his co-stars have spoken out in support of him after the news, such as Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke. The latest star to throw her support behind him is professional dancer Lauren Oakley. She attended Giovanni and Anton's new live show and cheered them on from the crowd.
Sharing a snap from her seat in the audience, Lauren held up the programme for the show, tiled Anton & Giovanni Together. She simply captioned the snap with a row of red heart emojis. Other celebs, such as Loose Women's Ruth Langsford, have also been to watch the pair's show.
Ruth gushed over Anton and Giovanni on social media, writing: Great night watching @mrantondubeke and @giovannipernice. Go and see it if you can. Fantastic dancers.
Fantastic singers. Fantastic band." It comes after Shirley Ballas spoke out about the allegations and investigation. Speaking at a promotion for her new book, she declared: “I know he is a hard worker.
He wants the people to do the very best that they can do. Obviously in my life I was bullied a lot. I don't condone bullying on any path but also I don't believe gossip and what you read in the newspapers because things get escalated and they are blown way out of all proportion and it can turn into a great big snowball.
