Employees at the bar where Jay Slater partied the night before he disappeared have been left devastated after he vanished without a trace.
The apprentice bricklayer was last seen in the island of Tenerife last Monday. And bar staff at the resort where he spent the night before have said it's 'all they're talking about'.
It's believed he met people at the Papagayo beach club, in the busy Playa de la Americas resort and headed to the rural village of Masca with people he met at the NRG music festival.
The 19-year-old, from Lancashire, was reported from the rural village of Masca on June 17. For their 'first-ever Tenerife Weekender Festival', NRG promised a 'weekend of electrifying music, stunning visuals, and innovative productions'.
The closing party was held at the huge venue on the evening of June 16. The following morning, Jay was reported missing after it's believed he spent the night at an Airbnb.
The rental was some 30km away, in the Rural de Teno Park, and he left the property alone and on foot the following morning.
The Manchester Evening News reports that, today, Papagayo club staff member Florín, who was setting up for the night, said he did not remember seeing Jay or the people he was with on the night of the closing party.
He said he had only followed Jay's disappearance from reading news reports. The major search efforts now enter their second week, involving the Civil Guard, Civil Defence, mountain rescue teams and fire crews.
