Bar staff working in the resort where Jay Slater partied the night before he vanished in Tenerife have been left devastated and saying its 'all they're talking about'.
The 19-year-old, from Lancashire, was reported missing a week ago, on June 17, in the rural village of Masca. It is thought he stayed there with people he met after attending the NRG music festival, at the Papagayo beach club in the bustling resort of Playa de la Americas.
For their 'first-ever Tenerife Weekender Festival', NRG promised a 'weekend of electrifying music, stunning visuals, and innovative productions', with the closing party held at the huge venue on the evening of June 16.

But a night of partying soon unravelled, as the following morning, Jay was reported missing. It is thought he had stayed at an Airbnb rental 30km away in the Rural de Teno Park, before leaving on foot and alone the following morning.
The Manchester Evening News visited the Papagayo club on Monday (June 24), where staff member Florín, who was setting up for the night, said he did not remember seeing Jay or the people he was with on the night of the closing party. He confirmed he had only followed Jay's disappearance from reading news reports.
As the major search efforts enter their second week, involving the Civil Guard, Civil Defence, mountain rescue teams and fire crews, a wave of concern has been felt by both tourists and locals across the Spanish island.
