Perfume Genius has announced his sixth studio album, ‘Ugly Season’.Following on from 2020’s ‘Set My Heart On Fire Immediately’, the 10-track record is due to be released on June 17 via Matador. Chris Willman Music WriterHarry Styles has announced his third solo album, “Harry’s House,” due to come out May 20.Little was revealed about the forthcoming release in an official announcement, beyond the date, title, the promise of 13 new tracks and album art that has the pop superstar scratching his chin standing on the ceiling of an upside-down living room.Styles also posted a short teaser video that includes no new music beyond a synthesizer soundtrack, showing him walking onto a theater stage and smiling as a house facade is raised around him.The album news is not wholly unexpected, as Styles was rumored to be having new music to promote before he takes to the stage as a headliner of the Coachella festival April 15 and 22. In February, he was spotted filming a music video in the streets of central London, lounging on a giant bed that was being pulled past Buckingham Palace, although it wasn’t entirely clear then whether he might still be releasing singles off his previous album or had something fresher in store.If it seems like Styles never really went away following his previous album, “Fine Line,” which came out in December 2019, it’s because of a series of successful singles hitting radio and touring plans behind that album being delayed by the pandemic.

Mandy Moore has announced details of her new album ‘In Real Life’ and shared the record’s title track – you can hear the new song below.The record will be the follow-up to Moore’s March 2020 album ‘Silver Landings’, and is set for release on May 13 via Verve Forecast.Produced by Mike Viola, ‘In Real Life’ – which has been previewed today (March 8) by the title track, which you can hear below – features a host of collaborators, including Moore’s husband, Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith, and his brother/bandmate Griffin Goldsmith, Lucius’ Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, keyboardist Lee Pardini (The War On Drugs) and bassist Sebastian Steinberg (Sharon Van Etten, Phoebe Bridgers).“So much of this record came from future-tripping on the next chapter of my life and what it might look like: what parenthood would feel like, how it would change everything, and all the excitement and trepidation that comes with that,” Moore said of ‘In Real Life’ in a statement.“At the same time it was about celebrating and acknowledging where we were at the moment and really trying to be completely present in the everyday — which is maybe the hardest part of the human condition.”Of the lyrical content of the album, Moore added: “To me it’s all about staying open, staying aware, staying sensitive and empathetic to the people around me.“There’s something about expressing myself through lyrics and melody that makes me feel whole, and I see it as a privilege to have that outlet. Superorganism have announced that they will release their second album, ‘World Wide Pop’, this summer. The record will feature collaborations with artists including Chai, Pi Ja Ma, Dylan Cartridge and Stephen Malkmus.The album’s first single, ‘Teenager’, featuring Chai and Pi Ja Ma, is out now. Watch the video here:In support of the album, the band will also be touring in the UK in September.

Pieces Of Her is the latest Netflix thriller series propelled by a top-tier cast and compelling mystery.The eight-episode series follows Andy Oliver (Bella Heathcote) as she tries to unravel the past of her mother Laura (Toni Collette), who is thrown into the public eye after violently eliminating a threat during a deadly mass shooting at a local diner.At the outset, Laura is a speech therapist and breast cancer survivor, but as Andy discovers in the finale, her mother is hiding a whole other life.Laura Oliver is actually Jane Queller, the daughter of a pharmaceutical mogul Martin Queller who has been in witness protection with Andy for over 30 years.Laura/Jane’s father was shot dead onstage at the 1988 International Economic Forum in Oslo, Norway, following an attack by extremist group Army For The Changing World, led by Nick Harly (young version played by Joe Dempsie) aka Andy’s father.After giving evidence against Nick, Laura/Jane was placed into witness protection and given a new identity (aka Laura Oliver) before her daughter was born.Laura/Jane, however, is fearful of Nick tracking her down because he knows her secret – that she secretly helped to orchestrate the attack against her father, along with her brother Andy, with the Army For The Changing World.For the attack, the group kidnapped Alexandra Maplecroft, who was set to debate her father Martin at the Oslo conference. They replaced her with Grace Juno on the panel, who was supposed to throw a pack of red dye at him in a symbolic stunt against the corporation.Grace, however, pulls out a gun and shoots Martin dead instead before killing herself.
