Jack Johnson has announced the release of his first new album in five years, ‘Meet the Moonlight’ – listen to lead single ‘One Step Ahead’ below.The US singer-songwriter’s eighth studio album – the follow-up to 2017’s ‘All The Light Above It Too’ – will arrive on June 24 via Brushfire/Republic Records.Johnson made the album with acclaimed producer Blake Mills (Lana Del Rey, Weezer, Norah Jones), recording it at Sound City and EastWest Studios in Los Angeles and Johnson’s Mango Tree studio in Hawaii.“When Blake and I first got in touch we’d send each other playlists, and over time we realised we were drawn to music that sounds effortless despite all the effort put into making it,” Johnson said in a statement.

Pusha T has confirmed his upcoming fourth studio album will be titled ‘It’s Almost Dry’ and announced USA tour dates supporting the record.The rapper has also announced he will be embarking on a tour of the United States in support of the album starting this May. There will be more dates to come, as the rapper has noted that the announcement is only “phase one” of the tour.

Sharon Van Etten has today (April 6) shared details of her sixth studio album, ‘We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong’.The record will arrive on May 6 via Jagjaguwar and is set to explore “the questions we ask ourselves when we think the world – or at least, our world – might be ending”, according to a statement.It continued: “Have we loved as well as we could? Did we try hard enough? How do we protect the things most precious to us from destructive forces beyond our control? Ellise Shafer Father John Misty is embarking on his first solo headlining tour since 2018.The elusive singer-songwriter has announced North American dates from June through October, and international dates set for late winter and spring 2023. Misty is touring in support of his upcoming album, “Chloë and the Next 20th Century,” which releases April 8. His Sub Pop label mate Suki Waterhouse will join him as the opener on the North American dates.

Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg has said that the band “turned up the dials on experimentation” while making their forthcoming seventh album.Frontman Corey Taylor confirmed last month that the masked metal titans had completed work on their “killer” new record, which will follow 2019’s ‘We Are Not Your Kind’. A release date is not yet known.Earlier this month, Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson gave further insight into what fans could expect from the band’s next full-length effort, explaining that his “sound selection was a little more off-planet than normal” following an extensive period of touring.Speaking in a recent interview with the US radio station WZOR (via Metal Injection), Weinberg teased the “exciting” and “really interesting” elements that feature on Slipknot’s new album.“I would say we kind of turned up the dials on experimentation,” Weinberg said.

Pearl Jam have confirmed that they have started working on a new album.Stone Gossard has said the grunge legends have started sessions on the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Gigaton’ and some tracks have already been recorded.“We’ve recorded some songs. We’re on our way. We’re making music,” he told Consequence Of Sound.He also confirmed that producer, guitarist and songwriter Andrew Watt, who has a history with Justin Bieber and recently worked on frontman Eddie Vedder‘s album ‘Earthling’, is on board.“We’re psyched,” Gossard said.

Confidence Man‘s Janet Planet has confirmed to NME that Noel Gallagher and U2‘s The Edge will appear on the Aussie duo’s new album.Back in 2019, Gallagher told BBC Radio 1 how he had attended a party with The Edge and Confidence Man, which ended with him arguing with the duo’s neighbour on their behalf after complaints were made about the level of noise coming from the party.A rumour had also been swirling that The Edge had contributed tambourine on the band’s new album ‘TILT’, due out April 1 via Heavenly, and Planet was asked by NME in a new interview whether there was any truth in it.“Noel and The Edge are actually both hidden on the record somewhere,” she responded, adding: “I’m not supposed to talk about it.
