Bolton Wanderers are leading the race to sign young defender Owen Beck from Liverpool and the deal could be finalised today, according to reports.

Ian Evatt still expects there to be some business done in some way shape or form this transfer window at Bolton Wanderers as he says the League One side are still aiming to improve where they can.
Bolton have made four signings so far this transfer window. Defenders Jack Iredale and Eoin Toal have been acquired on permanent deals from Cambridge United and Derry City respectively.
James Trafford has returned on loan for another season from Manchester City. Wing-back Conor Bradley has also signed up for the campaign on loan from Liverpool.

There are still a few weeks to go until the summer transfer window closes. It shuts at 11pm on September 1.
Evatt is happy with what has been done so far this summer and the reinforcements Wanderers have brought in. But with the window not over yet, Evatt knows ins and outs can still happen and the Whites are trying to be proactive to improve where they can.
He said: “I don’t think we’ll be inactive is more what I’d rather say. I’m happy with what we’ve got, but obviously there’s always likely to be ins and outs towards the end of a window and I believe there will be more with this window.
“Whether that comes to fruition we’ll see, but the closed sign and not open for business is not up yet. We’re still very much trying to be proactive and improve where we can.
"I think predominantly it's been a pretty good one. I think everybody is fairly satisfied with Conor Bradley at the moment. I think Jack Iredale has proven what he can do and recruited Traff was obviously also important.
"It's been a good window. I've said before the window's not over yet, so we'll see what happens,
