Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Luke Murphy has joined non-league side Macclesfield FC.
The Silkmen have agreed to sign Murphy, who was a free agent after leaving Crewe Alex this summer. It has not been disclosed how long the deal for the former Bolton midfielder is for.
The 32-year-old played 45 times for Wanderers and scored twice in two seasons. He joined the Whites on a free transfer after departing Leeds United.

Murphy departed the University of Bolton Stadium when he was released as part of a big player turnover in the summer of 2020. It saw a change in the dugout as Ian Evatt replaced Keith Hill as boss.
The midfielder came through the youth team ranks at the Railwaymen, winning promotion from League Two and the Football League Trophy with the Cheshire club. He departed for Leeds in the summer of 2013 for a reported transfer fee in excess of £1m.
Murphy scored seven goals in 111 games at Elland Road. His time at the club also saw him have a loan spell at Burton Albion, before leaving Leeds for Bolton in the summer of 2018.
His last club was a second spell back at old club Crewe, where he became the club captain. He remained with the club following his release to maintain fitness levels and he has now secured a move to the Silkmen.
A Macclesfield statement read: "We would like to welcome Luke to the Leasing.com Stadium and will be catching up with the 32-year-old to discuss the move shortly."
