Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Top Japanese star Yagira Yuga (“Nobody Knows,” “Asakusa Kid”) was front and center of streamer Disney+’s plans when it gave a green light to a second season of drama-horror series “Gannibal.” The creepy show, in which Yagira portrays a damaged police detective on the heels of a gangster-like family in a troubled village, has been a ratings winner in terms of minutes watched for the streamer. And, on Sunday, it earned Yagira win an Asian excellence prize at the Busan International Film Festival’s Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards. He spoke to Variety about the newly-started production of the second season.Where does Season Two kick off? Out On Film Announces Jury and Audience Award Winners

Out On Film, presented by GILEAD, has announced the filmmaker awards for the recently concluded 36th edition of the Atlanta-based LGBTQIA+ film festival. Olivier Peyon’s LIE WITH ME, based on the 2017 novel by Philippe Besson novel,  was a two-time winner, taking the audience award for Best Narrative Feature and tying for the jury award for Best Narrative Feature alongside Zeno Graton’s THE LOST BOYS.  Graton tied for the jury prize for Best Director along Babatunde Apolowo, whose ALL THE COLOURS OF THE WORLD ARE BETWEEN BLACK AND WHITE took home the award for Best International Film.

His rep described him to People as, “A Red Sox fanatic, bourbon connoisseur, devoted husband and father and friend to anyone who met him.”Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, McGrath starred in over a dozen Broadway plays, including “Plaza Suite,” “Tootsie,” “Spamalot” and “Nice Work if You Can Get It,” the later of which earned his Tony in 2012 (for “Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical.”)He also played Patsy in the 2005 Broadway musical “Spamalot,” which also earned him a Tony nomination.
