Starting with a wealthy family about to lose its aging patriarch in 2001, the series uses flashbacks to the 1960s to uncover not only the origins of the family’s herbal cigarette or ‘Kretek’ fortune, but also the hidden romance underlying it. And it highlights the overbearing and only slowly changing societal pressures placed on women, from high and low ranks, even as Indonesian politics and government underwent tectonic shifts. School bus crash sees '50 kids treated at scene' as woman rushed to hospital

A woman was rushed to hospital and around 50 others, believed to be schoolkids, are being assessed after a school bus overturned this morning.
The casualty was rushed to hospital in a serious condition while the others were assessed at the scene. The crash involved a coach and a car on the M53 motorway in Merseyside.
The Liverpool Echo reports the woman suffered "major trauma-related injuries" following the collision, which took place between J5, at Eastham, and J4, at Bebington.
Merseyside police said the school coach hit a reservation and overturned. It's understood pupils from both Calday Grange Grammar School and West Kirby Grammar are involved. The fire service confirmed that there are "a number of causalities".
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "NWAS has declared a major incident following a road traffic collision between a coach and a car on the M53 northbound at approximately 8.30 this morning.
"The trust dispatched a large number of resources to the scene, including ambulances, advanced paramedics, our Hazardous Area Response Team and a HEMS doctor. So far, one female patient has been taken to the hospital, suffering major trauma-related injuries.
"There are also nearly 50 other patients being assessed at the scene. We are working closely with our incident partners to convey people away from the scene as quickly as possible."
A spokesperson for Merseyside fire and rescue service said: "Fire crews have been called to the scene of a road traffic collision between junctions 5 and 4 of the M53 on the northbound carriageway this morning.
