Robbie Savage believes Manchester United would have been better off keeping David de Gea but insists the boat has passed on re-signing him.
De Gea left United as a free agent at the start of summer, having failed to agree a contract extension on reduced terms. The 33-year-old's future had long been uncertain, with manager Erik ten Hag keen to bring in a goalkeeper who can play out from the back.

I think so," Savage told Planet Sport Bet. "I do think they now need to stick with Onana for at least this season. “De Gea was really good at keeping the ball out of the back of the net. In his last season he might have made a few mistakes, but he still won four Player of the Season awards at United and the Golden Glove last
