Manchester United are among several clubs interested in signing Mike Maignan - according to reports.
The 28-year-old AC Milan goalkeeper and France international is generally regarded as one of the world's best in his position. However, the Italian giants could find it difficult to hang on to his services.
Erik ten Hag opted for a change between the posts at Old Trafford this summer. He allowed David De Gea to leave on a free transfer and the Dutchman then brought in former Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan. He paid £47million for the Cameroon number one but Onana has been hit and miss with his displays.

Reports from Foot Mercato suggest United could already be making plans to replace the 27-year-old and they are said to be among several clubs now in the race for Maignan. The article highlights Bayern Munich, Chelsea and PSG as potential suitors - as well as United - with €70million mooted as a ballpark asking price.
Maignan himself is claimed to favour staying put at the San Siro. He remains under contract there until 2026.
Elsewhere, reports from Foot01 indicate United centre-back Raphael Varane is under consideration for French club Marseille as they drum up a list of possible targets. The Manchester Evening News understands Varane wants to stay at Old Trafford beyond the January window despite speculation over his future.
The 30-year-old has started once in the last 11 games in all competitions for United. He joined the club from Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2021 and has totted-up 75 appearances in just over two years. Varane has 18 months left to run on
