"Let's not cling onto the positives. You look at that last 20 minutes, I have had some bad moments in a Manchester United shirt but I don't really remember times when we came off that pitch and someone could go 'you know what, you didn't try'. I maybe wasn't good enough that day, didn't perform that day maybe but it wasn't for [lack of] graft.
"That is the bare minimum for any footballer, the absolute minimum. I just hope, we can be negative and analyse the game, but I really, really hope that these players are walking in the next day and they are going 'I am embarrassed, my pride and ego has taken a battering and I am really embarrassed'.
"I hope that is the attitude, I hope that is what is in there - I don't know if it is. I think there is a lot of finger-pointing and I bet you any money that there is a lot of 'he has done this, he ain't done that'."
