Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes his old club should turn to Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel to become their next permanent manager, insisting he would "be the one."

Tuchel, publicly, has stressed his commitment to the position, but depending on the situation, particularly how long it rumbles on for, it could force him to get itchy feet and consider his future at the club.

Therefore, there has been an increase in calls from United supporters for the club to try and poach the former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain boss. And former United man Ferdinand agrees with them, stressing that it should be a no-brainer for the Reds to try and lure him to Old Trafford.
"I'm taking Tuchel, I don't care," Ferdinand told Vibe with Five. "If roles were reversed and Man Utd were there and we had Tuchel as a sitting duck at our football club, presuming that he is a sitting duck from the reports that we're hearing, there is a chance you could get him.
